Data protection statement

The protection of personal data about visitors to our website is a matter of importance to us. Pursuant to the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), we have implemented technical and organizational measures which ensure that regulations on data protection are complied with.

1. Type of information collected
We gather collective data. The data is not person-specific, but only of a general, statistical nature. We are, therefore, unable to determine which user has retrieved which data. When you send e-mails to us by clicking on ’Contact Us’ or request information material at other locations, this is done via the correspondence program which is installed on your computer. Therefore, it is up to you which personal data you state. We retain the data transmitted in order to perform the services requested by you.

2. Cookies
Cookies are small text files which may be stored on the hard drive of a visitor to a website. The information contained in the cookies facilitates navigation and enables you to define personal settings on websites. Depending on the status of our website, we also use cookies as a general rule. Naturally, you can prevent the cookies being saved by changing your browser settings. You can find out how to do this in your system by referring to the user instructions provided by your browser manufacturer.

3. Passing on information to third parties
We do not pass on the data which is gathered to third parties; more especially, it is not sold, leased or exchanged. Only when we are required to engage the support of subcontractors or vicarious agents to perform the services which you have requested from us, do we supply the necessary data to these parties. In such cases, our partners are required to handle the data confidentially in accordance with statutory provisions and to delete it immediately once it is no longer required. We would ask you to appreciate that we are unable to comprehensively check that this obligation is complied with. Therefore, we bear no liability for any possible infringements.

4. Children and young people
Persons below the age of 18 should only transmit personal data to us with the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not solicit personal data from children, nor do we collect any such data and pass it on to third parties if it is transmitted to us.
